Name: Charredstar
Age: 39 moons
Gender: Tom
Clan: Windclan
Rank/Position: Leader
Appearance: Charredstar is a massive tom with short fur. He is a sooty gray all over, with a silver tinged muzzle. His eyes are bright green, and piercing. He is heavily built for a windclan cat, but still reasonably swift. His paws are average sized, concealing sharp claws, honed by years of fighting. He has a fairly large scar on his right flank where the fur is parted, and a nick on the outside of his right ear. His right front paw is furless due to an injury in his youth, and it is said that he cannot feel pain or anything else anymore in that spot, though no cat can say for sure, since it doesn't seem to hinder him in the least. He can run just fine, but his real advantage is his strength and agility, which is unusual in Windclan. His fighting skills are fearsome, and is what gains him respect as a leader. In battle he is a force to be reckoned with, making him a difficult opponent. Ironically, he is most vulnerable in one of his rare moments of intense rage, as he doesn't think straight and makes mistakes. While it is possible to capitalize on his mistakes and defeat him easier like this, he is even more dangerous and likely to kill when he is angry.
Personality: Charredstar is a warrior at heart; the heat of battle is his element. He is well known to be ruthless and agressive; but not necessarily evil. While he has been seen as cruel and heartless towards enemies, He cares greatly for those he is close too, and will fight fiercly for any one of them. He isn't afraid to stand up and fight, but he knows better then to make suicidal or pointless attacks; and he would not risk Windclan lives unless he feels he needs to. He is almost always composed, and very much in control of himself; not much can shake his icy calm. However, while he is a spectacular fighter, his diploatic skills are a severe weakness. Apart from being almost completely anti-social, even emotionless around clanmates, He deals with other clans as if they were a troublesome piece of rabbit in his teeth. He regards any cat outside his clan who has not earned his respect with a cool, hard gaze, but he is almost never hostile to a stranger who has not had a chance to prove themselves to him. He cares deeply for every single member of his clan, and the unjust death of a clanmate, especially someone close is one of the few things that can set him off. When Charredstar does get angry and lose control, it's a primal rage, and things start to heat up very quickly. He won't think twice about diving into a dangerous or even suicidal situation without thought, and will fight with all 9 of his lives if he has too. Most of the clan regard him highly for his intense protective attitude over his clanmates, though there are those who find his lack of joyful emotion and anti-social attitude disturbing. However, some of those close to him are finally breaking through his thick emotional wall enough to see patches of a good cat, his enemies would still see him as a rutheless leader, looking out only for his clan. more tied in with history.
History:
Kithood: As a kit he was a loner living with two parents. At the age of about 5 moons, he was out playing when he heard yowling coming from the family den. He raced back to discover a raging inferno of flames surrounding, and breaching the family nest. He heard is mother wailing, and prepared to bound into the scorching wall of flames, but his father appeared from behind and smashed into him, knocking him winded to the ground. As he struggled to his feet, all he could do was stand horrified and watch his father leap toward the den, only to be cut off by a think burning branch, crushing him mid-leap. Stone wailed and leapt after his father, but found himself disoriented and caught in a searing maze of flames. He looked for his parents desperetly, but couldn't see anything. He found himself enclosed by the walls of flame, and searched for a way out. He saw a gap, and took a running leap, but landed halfway in the flame, he raced forwards wailing, only to realize his paw had caught fire. After a short struggle, the flames went out, and he took one last look at his old home, and the turned and fled, not looking where he was going. After an entire day of running, he collapsed where he stood, waiting for death to take him. Instead, a group of cats came racing to him, and he vaguely remembered them carrying him to a dip in the flat moor ground, and applying strange things to his wounds. Darkness overtook him and he rested, finally.
Apprentice: It took Stone about a moon for his burns to heal, and he had learned much about the group, or clan, of cats. They were called Windclan, and there were 3 other clans, all living by the warrior code. He told his story many times, and when he was offered to train as a clan apprentice, he jumped at the chance. He became known as Charredfoot, in honour of his wounded paw, a symbol of his bravery. He was taught to honourable, agressive, and powerful in battle by his mentor, Blazepelt. However, he also learned to protect the clan at all costs, and not to let the other clans shake his resolve. The memories of his parents death had scarred him deeper then merely his paw, however. He rarely showed emotions of affection of joy, and found it difficult to get along with others sometimes, especially due to his non-clanborn heritage. He was a talented apprentice, however, and earned his warrior name quickly, along with his clanmates respect.
Warrior: Once he had earned his warrior name, Charredfoot, things started to happen quickly in the forest. Things heated up between windclan and shadowclan, and a fierce war erupted, driven by hate and past injustices. Charredfoot let his emotional wall fall for the first time since the fire, and fell deeply in love with a she-cat named Flurrypelt. The two had only just confessed their feelings for eachother half a moon ago, when a night raid on the Windclan camp was launched. Flurrypelt was killed, along with the old deputy, Charredfoot's mentor Blazepelt; They had been Killed in the horrible attack by Shadowclan's leader, as a demostration. Charfoot was angry at first, but not for long. He took it as a sign, that he had been wrong to try and show compassion; and decided there was no room for trival emotions in life. His outer shell hardened over time until it was thicker then ever, and all but unbreakable.
Deputy:Time had passed, the bitted feud with shadowclan still unrelenting. Blazefur's replacement had died of whitecough in the cold, preyless leafbare, and Charfoot was now an experienced warrior, and having trained two apprentices, Charredfoot was named the Deputy. He was perfect to help lead the clan through the dangerous times; he had aquired a cool calm attitude, and seemed to always have an answer. Everyone knew the leader Runningstar was on his last life. When another Shadowclan raid forced the Windclanner's from their camp, the old leader became very sick. After only half a moon, the leader was on his deathbed, dying of an unkown disease. He told charfoot that he had been wrong to let his grudge with Shadowclan lead his warriors to senseless death, and that he was sorry about flurrypelt and blazepelt's deaths. Charredfoot let his mental wall down for a moment, and foragve the old leader, which seemed to satisfy him as his last breath escaped his lips. The leaders last words were clear; the war must be stopped. The next night, before even travelling for his nine lives, he reported runningstar's death, and extended the offer of peace to shadowclan. When the bewildered leader of shadowclan accepted his "surrender", Charredstar calmy pointed out it was not surrender, but mutual peace. The leader was about to decline, hissing, but the moon was covered by clouds, and a fierce wind was heard, and terrifying shadows flickered around the hollow, seeming to battle for control. A loud crack of thunder sounded, the clouds moved away from the moon, the wind died down and the shadows lessened, now only a slight breeze rippling the cat's fur. The shadowclan leader gaped at the sky speechless, and then nodded, signalling the end of the gathering as he leapt down from the great rock, the meaning of starclan's warning obvious to everyone present.
Leader: For two long moons, Charredstar would rebuild a ragged and starving, but determined clan. Then one night, runningwind appeared in the leader's den, and just nodded his head with a prideful smile. Charredstar dipped his head slightly, and the leader dissapeared, along with any doubts Charredstar had about running the clan. To this day he remains a cool and calculating leader, but his emotional wall is wearing down again with the peaceful times, and some have noticed, in hushed tones of course, small patches of his heart starting to unthaw bit by bit.

Stone bounced happily through the ferns, imagining he was a big strong cat like his father. He was happily pretending to pounce on a mouse, which was really only a fern. Suddenly a terrible wail came from the direction of his family den. He raced off through the bushes, not knowing what was happening but that something was wrong. He burst into the small meadow where he lived, and yowled in surprise as a wave of heat washed over him. He stood staring awestruck at the wall of flames engulfing his den.
His mother had taught him about fire, and now that he had seen it, Stone just stood with his mouth gaping at the blaze engulfing his home. His mother's wail wrenched him back to reality, as he looked across the clearing to see his mother trapped in her den, flames all around her. He started to pelt across the clearing, intending to jump in and save her when his father barreled into him leaving him winded on the ground. He could only watch as his father leapt into the inferno toward his mother, only to be swatted out of the air by a falling branch, alight with fire. Stone wailed, unheard over the crackling menace all around him. He dove in the same direction his father had, only to find himself trapped. He couldn't see anything, and his fur stung from the intense heat; his eyses streaming from the smoke. He searched everywhere for his parents, but he was quickly disoriented. He made a leap for an opening, but fell short and he yowled in frustration as he stepped on a bed of hot coals with his right front paw, causing it to go numb. Realizing there was no hope for his beloved parents, he made one last leap over a burning shrub and found himself outside the savage ring of fire. He waved his paw and beat it in the dust until the fire had been snuffed out, and then he pelted off into the bushes, not noticing, or caring where he was heading. To shocked and full of grief to wail, he could only keep going until blackness took him.
