Next to Barley's farm, there is a vast field full of wheat. The stalks turn golden in leaf-fall, and during that season, mice are plentiful here. But beware, just when the prey start running, huge twoleg monsters, bigger than the ones on the thunderpaths, roar around the field and cut swaths of the grain away. Afterwards, large birds swoop in to pick off the remaining mice.
