All members must read this thread, as well as some of the other threads in this board. If you don't read it, however, since we can't stuff it in your eyes and hope it goes into your brain, by joining this site you are held responsible for all rules listed, anywhere on this site, and punishments will be dealt accordingly. These rules include staff.

Conduct Rules:
1. No swearing or profanity. The worst is hell and damn, and do not use those often. No masked or abbreviated swears, either. Nothing past PG, and no adult-material. That includes mating threads, but descriptions of battles and wounds can go much farther.
2. Respect all staff and members, as well as their posts and material. If they ask you a question, you must answer it truthfully unless it violates another rule. Do not ask for any type of private information, and do not offer your own. If you give private info when asked, you will get in trouble, as well as the person who asked for it. (Note: If a staff member is abusing their powers and/or breaking the rules, feel free to pm me about it.)
3. No threats or veiled threats, and no insulting. Arguing is fine, as long as it doesn't go 'too far'. I will break it up if it does. (This includes PMs, if hurtful pms are sent, notify me. Don't even think about framing someone, because that will result in a ban.) No racist, sexist, etc. statements.
4. No asking to be staff members, I pick them myself, then notify them. If someone else, even a staff, offers you a staff position, notify me, because that offer is invalid. You may apply for sub-staff positions though, in this board. (coming soon!)
5. Do not nag staff to do something for you, such as check your bios (that's big!), add you on the stats lists in the headers (the one in the boards is for your leader to do, and do not nag them, either). In fact, don't even ask, unless whatever you want noticed has gone ignored for over five periods of full 24 hrs. Post all requests in the Administrator's Desk, where they will be answered ASAP.
Posting and RPing Rules:
1. No spamming, in other words, no posting meaningless posts, even in OOC boards, and no double-posting. There is a modify button, use it.
2. No posting what other people have written, save in quotations. It is called plagiarism and is agains the federal law. You will be banned.
3. No tortoiseshell or calico colored toms. They are an extremely rare occurrence, and are often infertile. The only exceptions are those bought in the market.
3. Write legibly, include punctuation, quotations, and if you have to, use spell check. Don't use screen talk, except in the c-box. Only English can be used on this site. No smiles in RPing, and all RPing must be done in third person.
4. All titles must be relevant, and don't make it really long, with tons of exclamation marks, or all caps unless it is extremely important (ex. staff making huge announcement). Make it so that by reading the title, people can get an accurate sense of what is inside the thread.
5. No advertising outside of the advertising board, including in the c-box.
6. No autoing, which is controlling another character, unless you have clear permission. And don't claim that 'I deleted the pm', save it. And I'll verify with the member, too. No killing or maiming, or any big changes to another's character without clear permission (same as controlling).
7. NO godly powers. If your cat is unusually talented at something, make it unusually clumsy at something else. It's like that in nature, strengths are always counter-balanced with weaknesses. And don't make more than one cat (any is discouraged) that are largely talented. When you fight, don't just injure the opponent, remember that they are injuring you, too. And don't make a hero cat, unless assigned to do so by a staff member.
8. No speeding up time. Some is okay, but don't be a kit one week, an apprentice the next, and a warrior the following. Kits need to wait at least a few days before opening their eyes, and two weeks before they can speak (In real time, in RP time it's more than that).
9. Names must be strictly warrior names, besides BloodClan, Loners, Rogues, and Kittypets. Names must also comply with all other rules, so no vulgar names or racist ones. This includes (for the four main clan names) no first names of: Star, paw, kit, or anything not natural such as metal, plastic, or completely irrelevant, such as 'hello'. For all clans, no names beginning with your own clan name. (Ex. No Thunderpaw's in ThunderClan, though Thunderpaw is allowed in RiverClan, and no 'Blood's in BloodClan.) BloodClan names are not clan names, so no two-part ones unless they come together to actually mean something, like 'moonlight'. No names that Erin Hunter wouldn't use. Border-line ones are stuff like 'Timepaw' or four-syllable names. Five+ syllables are not allowed. (Ex. No 'Eternitypaw's)
Duplicate names are only allowed in apprentices and kits, and in those cases, only two each.
11. You can have as many characters as you like, but please make separate accounts for them, and make your display name at least related to your character's name. No book-cats, nor descendants or relatives of them. (And no references in posts, they are long forgotten in history - all of them!)
12. No non-natural colors or patterns in your cat, and no 'stunningly and unbelievably beautiful she-cats' who have twenty toms chasing after them. No. (This includes any type of perfection, such as unusual connections with StarClan when not a Med. Cat or Leader, super strong, good swimmer when not in RiverClan, and be aware of your position. No kits beating apprentices in fights!!) Only exceptions are those characteristics bought in the market.
13. No descriptive mating.
14. You may only be in one place at one time. Exceptions can be made for high-ranking cats and prophecy characters, who may be very busy and needed in a lot of places. If you are leaving, say so at the end of a RP. (Of course, OOC doesn't count.)
15. You may not make any creatures other than cats, unless you have my permission.
Note: If you want to do a History-Roleplay, just type your Subject with a '(History)' as part of it.
Thanks for taking the time to read the rules, I know they are long and tedious, but at least now that you've gotten to the bottom, you know what they are and won't be surprised someday! If there are changes, they will be posted in the news/updates board, and you can read them from there. Feel free to check back here for reference!
Please, please report any rule-breaking you see to me or another staff member through pm. You will be rewarded if you catch someone, but severely punished for setups.
